The Yoga Barn is now offering Relaxation & Meditation Classes

What does the class involve?

The Yoga Barn will be holding two weekly meditation classes drawing on the eight Limbs of Patanjalie's Yoga Sutras.   These classes are completely suitable for beginners and regular practitioners of meditation.

We will offer specific tools to:

  • Sharpen concentration
  • Replenish energy and willpower
  • Free your mind from anxiety, anger or resentment
  • Access your deepest resources of strength, patience and love

The one hour class will include:

Pranayama (breath control) = Beneficial to health, steadies the body and is highly conducive to the concentration of the mind.

Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses) = Bridge between the external and internal.  Guided relaxation/visulisation.

Dharana (focusing the mind on a single point) = we will be concentrating the mind on a chosen mantra, physical object such as a candle flame, the mid point of the eyebrows, image of a deity...

We will also be exploring other forms of meditation and the group will take on an organic approach and respond to the needs of participants.
Monday - 12pm to 1pm
Tuesday - 6:45pm to 7:45pm
Classes are just £8
Please book online to save a space or feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

If Meditation's That Good Why Isn't Everyone Doing It?

When I talk to people about the benefits of meditation, most of them are already aware that meditation can help them reduce stress and anxiety, yet they haven't tried it. Why? Because either they're too busy to learn something new, or they feel confused and they don't know where to begin.

Meditation is Something you Need to be Shown

If someone where to guide you through a simple meditation practice you would be amazed at how simple it is to get started.

Our weekly classes at the Yoga Barn are designed to be as simple and supportive as possible so that you can feel the  calm current of meditation running through your life within minutes of walking through the door.
